Sassy Soles

It’s not hard to tell that my sassy side emerged when styling this ensemble. The leopard blazer has quickly become one of my favorites for work and play, but can we talk about these heels?! I nearly died when I saw these strappy beauties at Target for under $30. I’ve seen several pairs that never seem to be within my price range, but these had exactly what I was looking for – high end look, low end price tag. Not to mention, these heels were exactly what this outfit needed to kick it up a notch ūüėČ

¬†I apologize for the lack of posts in May, it was a very hectic month, but I’m happy to say that I’m back in full force!

Summer style is all about flowy maxis, comfy sandals, and straw hats. It doesn’t hurt that these pieces are extremely easy to throw in your bag for those spontaneous weekend trips either! ¬†I had a few errands to run this past weekend, so I chose this black and white combo and it was perfect. If your tank is a little too long like mine, just tie a knot on the side for a stylish twist! Be sure to check out the links above to get this look ūüėČ

(Fur)ocious

Feeling (fur)ocious in my faux fur scarf, sheer blouse, and jewel toned accessories for today’s look. This is such a great outfit for the weekend, and the faux fur scarf is so warm and cozy! The jewel toned handbag and boots add a rich pop of color without being over the top, and compliment the tortoise jewelry perfectly. If you are not a fan of adding multiple colors to your look, start with adding one bold hue and go from there!

Can you tell that I’m absolutely freezing in these pictures? Last week we had fairly warm weather here, so I didn’t bother to look at the temperatures before stepping out the door this weekend, which was a huge mistake. We went shopping in Market Square, and everyone was bundled up in their winter coats, gloves, and boots except for me. My feet were numb by the time I walked back to the car, but the French Macarons that I picked up for dessert made it all worth it!

I absolutely adore a scalloped hem. It’s just so flirty and feminine! I also love the look of a dropped waist skirt, however, I never liked how it looked on my body type. I decided to try styling one with a long sweater, and I love how it turned out! It completely changes the silhouette, not to mention the scalloped hem really stands out against the skirt. So before you rule out a dropped waist skirt or dress try styling a sweater over it to see how it changes the look!

I never realized how little red I owned until I went searching in my closet for a red cardigan. ¬†I love how vibrant the color looks, yet if I have a choice I always seem to choose black or grey. If you don’t have a lot of red in your wardrobe, but would like a staple piece then pick up a cable-knit cardigan. You can’t go wrong with a red cardigan, it’s just so versatile. And considering I stole this one from my mother’s closet, I guess that’s the next staple on my wish list too! I’m loving this one at Forever 21, gorgeous and affordable!

Dress: Marshalls, similar dress at Forever21, Shoes: Bjorndal, similar style here, Handbag: Winners, Hat: Target, Watch: Michael Kors

Normally when I hear the word ‘tie-dye’, I think of neon t-shirts that we made when we were kids, definitely nothing fashionable, but when I saw this neutral tie-dye dress at Marshalls my mindset completely changed. This dress is so different from anything else in my wardrobe, and more versatile than I originally thought. Wear it on its own, or throw on a chunky knit over top for a completely different look!

I recently wore this outfit on a date with my husband, and I love how it turned out! The printed skirt and ruffled heels are extremely feminine, so I chose to balance the look with an edgy leather jacket, chunky necklace, and sophisticated satchel. How would you style this 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target skirt?

We have had some beautiful Fall weather here in Tennessee lately, and I’ve definitely been taking advantage. Give me a flirty skirt and a pair of suede booties any day. I recently went ¬†to Toronto to visit my husband and picked up this adorable scarf at Le Chateau. Audrey Hepburn has always been a style icon of mine, so it was only appropriate to add this to¬†my wardrobe!
