Feeling (fur)ocious in my faux fur scarf, sheer blouse, and jewel toned accessories for today’s look. This is such a great outfit for the weekend, and the faux fur scarf is so warm and cozy! The jewel toned handbag and boots add a rich pop of color without being over the top, and compliment the tortoise jewelry perfectly. If you are not a fan of adding multiple colors to your look, start with adding one bold hue and go from there!
Looking polished in the winter months can often pose a challenge, especially on those days when all you want is to stay in your pajamas with a cup of hot tea. I don’t know about you, but I go from hot to cold multiple times while at work and having layers that I can easily remove at my desk is crucial. Layering the turtleneck sweater, faux fur vest, and winter coat was perfect for the outdoor weather, yet simple enough to remove once inside (although it was so cold, I left the sweater and vest on all day)!
P.S. Loved getting to showcase my Tennessee spirit with this gorgeous pumpkin coat 😉
I tried out an olive, navy, and black color palette last week, and loved how well the colors complimented each other. This look was effortless, but the heels kicked it up a notch. I felt put together without being overdone for running a few errands around town.
With the freezing temperatures that we’ve been having the past two days, it’s hard to believe that I wore this outfit just last week. Mustard is not a color that I seem to wear often, but this cardigan is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Style it with a feminine dress for work or with boyfriend jeans for a casual weekend look. I love how much the yellow flowers in the dress pop when styled with this vibrant cardigan.
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I’m featuring a relaxed look that I sported this weekend on this dreary Monday morning. The majority of items from this look were Christmas gifts, and I think it’s safe to say that my family knows my style very well! An oversized wool blazer, boyfriend jeans, a warm scarf, and comfy flats are the perfect pieces for a casual chic outfit. How adorable are these social media loafers?! They add a playful flare to the look, and are super comfy! You will definitely be seeing each of these items on the blog multiple times this season.
Happy Anniversary to my sweet husband! Can’t believe we started dating 5 years ago today and have been married a little over six months now 🙂

I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday with their family and friends. I took the last few days off from blogging to spend quality time with my family. We play a ton of board/card games around the holidays, and this year we received Cards Against Humanity for Christmas. It is hilarious!
I managed to get a few shots of my outfit that I wore to Mass on Christmas Eve. I absolutely love this dress from Banana Republic that I purchased last year. It’s perfect for holiday parties, but looks great with a blazer for work. The jacquard shift dress from the L’Wren Scott Collection at Banana Republic is very similar. I’m loving it in Emerald!

Yesterday, I braved the crowds with my husband and family for some last minute Christmas shopping to complete everything on my gift list. It wasn’t as bad as I expected, considering it was the last weekend before the holidays. This outfit was perfect for the occasion. The faux fur vest kept me warm enough for the weather outside, but wasn’t too heavy inside. It was so great not to have to lug a coat around all day!
I’m so excited for a week filled with family, friends, food, and fun! I can’t wait to share all of our family traditions with my husband in the next few days. Can you believe that we’ve been together for almost 5 years and have never spent Christmas together?! Needless to say, this year is extra special. 😉

This hooded cardigan from Topshop is one of the coziest sweaters I own. I love to travel in it because it’s warm enough to wear as a coat, but much lighter. It’s so easy to toss in your bag if the weather suddenly changes. The past few outfits I’ve styled have had a pop of color, and I just couldn’t resist styling a bright red handbag with this neutral look.

Can you tell that I’m absolutely freezing in these pictures? Last week we had fairly warm weather here, so I didn’t bother to look at the temperatures before stepping out the door this weekend, which was a huge mistake. We went shopping in Market Square, and everyone was bundled up in their winter coats, gloves, and boots except for me. My feet were numb by the time I walked back to the car, but the French Macarons that I picked up for dessert made it all worth it!

When you are feeling preppy, you can’t go wrong with a tweed jacket, a turtleneck, and lace-up heels! I chose to wear dark skinny jeans for more of a casual look, but to make this outfit more work appropriate, style these pieces with dress pants or a pencil skirt. However, be sure to keep your jeans handy so that you are able to make a quick change before meeting your girlfriends for dinner!
