Styled the cutest shirtdress for work and couldn’t resist snapping a few pictures. I picked this dress up on sale at Kohl’s and seem to be grabbing for it more often than I expected! I absolutely adore the print and the color. I chose to style it with black suede wedges, a black belt, and a black/white foldover clutch. The subtle mix in prints was just what this outfit needed. You can still pick up the Flavia Foldover Clutch from Banana Republic online or in stores. It’s so gorgeous in person and on sale now – the perfect black and white clutch for the season!

Definitely channeling my inner Rachel Zoe with this look, and I’m loving it! Every girl deserves to be a diva every once in a while, right? Just add some faux fur, a black hat, and oversized shades to your wardrobe, and you’ve hit the jackpot. The best part about this look is that it has a high-end feel without the costly price tag. Several of these items came from T.J.Maxx, so the next time you are searching for a diva-esque look don’t forget to check them out!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I’m featuring a relaxed look that I sported this weekend on this dreary Monday morning. The majority of items from this look were Christmas gifts, and I think it’s safe to say that my family knows my style very well! An oversized wool blazer, boyfriend jeans, a warm scarf, and comfy flats are the perfect pieces for a casual chic outfit. How adorable are these social media loafers?! They add a playful flare to the look, and are super comfy! You will definitely be seeing each of these items on the blog multiple times this season.
Happy Anniversary to my sweet husband! Can’t believe we started dating 5 years ago today and have been married a little over six months now 🙂
I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday with their family and friends. I took the last few days off from blogging to spend quality time with my family. We play a ton of board/card games around the holidays, and this year we received Cards Against Humanity for Christmas. It is hilarious!
I managed to get a few shots of my outfit that I wore to Mass on Christmas Eve. I absolutely love this dress from Banana Republic that I purchased last year. It’s perfect for holiday parties, but looks great with a blazer for work. The jacquard shift dress from the L’Wren Scott Collection at Banana Republic is very similar. I’m loving it in Emerald!
Coat: Victoria’s Secret, Dress: T.J.Maxx, Tights: DKNY via T.J.Maxx, similar style here, Scarf: Dillard’s (old), Boots: Gianni Bini via Dillard’s, similar style here, Earrings: Niki Designs, Handbag: JCPenney (old)
My parents told the family to get ready for dinner in Market Square last night, little did we know they had tickets for The Moscow Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker. The Nutcracker is one of my favorite ballets, so I was thrilled when we ended up at the Tennessee Theatre. Luckily, I was wearing a dress and heels! The ballet was wonderful and brought me right back to my dancing days. I sure do miss it, but I’ll always be a dancer at heart.
Bow Blouse: LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s, Pants: Dynamite, Shoes: JoeyO, almost identical pumps available at Nine West (on sale!), Clutch: Old Navy (old), cute alternative here, also love this lips clutch, Bracelet: T.J.Maxx
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Here’s a peek at my Thanksgiving outfit this year. You can’t go wrong with a black, white, and red color palette, and tons of bows! I thought that this LC Lauren Conrad pleated bow blouse was adorable for the holidays, and I just love the peter pan collar!
I have so much to be thankful for this year. I have a loving husband, a wonderful family, and great friends. I don’t know where I would be without each and every one of them. I was lucky enough to spend Canadian Thanksgiving in October with my husband’s side of the family this year, and we had a wonderful time! Wish he could be here today to celebrate American Thanksgiving with my side of the family, but thankfully Christmas is just around the corner!
Sweater: Bitten by Sarah Jessica Parker, Blouse: New York & Company, similar blouse at Kohl’s, Pants: Suzy Shier, similar style at PacSun, Boots: Gianni Bini via Dillard’s, Handbag: Nicole Lee, Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelet: Waxing Poetic, Earrings: Niki Designs
The weather here has been calling for lots of layers lately. Adding a collared shirt underneath a sweater dresses the look up, while adding warmth on those chilly days. I prefer to wear collared shirts with a bold print or color, because it really stands out against the neutral knit. If you aren’t one to wear a bold snake print on its own, try layering it first! How do you dress up your casual sweaters?
Cardigan: Simply Vera via Kohl’s, love this one at Nordstrom, Sweater Dress: Alfred Sung, cute alternative at Old Navy, Scarf: T.J.Maxx, Boots: Calvin Klein, similar here, Handbag: Christopher Kon via Winners
I’ve mentioned before that I am a huge fan of oversized comfy sweaters. I received this midi-length cardigan as a Christmas gift a few years ago and was instantly hooked! You can’t go wrong with a super soft, cozy sweater that doubles as a coat. I still can’t believe that it’s the only midi cardigan I own. I just never seem to see many sweaters this length, however this Free People cardigan at Nordstrom has definitely caught my eye!
Dress: Charming Charlie, Belt: Anne Klein via T.J.Maxx, Tights: T.J.Maxx, Coat: Delias (old), but love this one from J.Crew, Shoes: BCBGeneration via T.J.Maxx (available in store, or on Amazon), Bracelet & Earrings: Niki Designs, Sunglasses: Franco Sarto via T.J.Maxx, Clutch: Kohl’s, similar here
Here are a few shots of my Sunday best from this past weekend. I’m a huge fan of damask print and thought that this dress from Charming Charlie was adorable. It’s the perfect dress for church, brunch with the ladies, or even a fancy dinner with the hubby! The bright pink peacoat really pops against the neutrals, adding some flare to a classic look.
I recently went to a friend’s wedding in Georgia and decided to wear this Xhilaration dress from Target. I love the texture – similar dress here. You can never go wrong with a little black dress! I dressed it up for the occasion with a red lip and leopard pumps.
