Feeling very ladylike in today’s look. These light pink pants and floral top were just meant to go together! Pearl accessories, patent pumps, and a high bun add to the femininity of this outfit and complete the overall look. Recreate this style for a day of meetings at the office or even a bridal luncheon!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend! This beautiful dress and blazer were in my Easter basket when I woke up Sunday morning. Can you believe that my husband picked those out all on his own? He knows me so well! Needless to say, I couldn’t wait to put this outfit on. I love the classic black, white, and gray stripes on the dress with a touch of coral – perfect for Spring and Summer. The white blazer tops off the entire look and is definitely a staple for the season. Don’t you just love the tuxedo lapels on this one?
Styled the cutest shirtdress for work and couldn’t resist snapping a few pictures. I picked this dress up on sale at Kohl’s and seem to be grabbing for it more often than I expected! I absolutely adore the print and the color. I chose to style it with black suede wedges, a black belt, and a black/white foldover clutch. The subtle mix in prints was just what this outfit needed. You can still pick up the Flavia Foldover Clutch from Banana Republic online or in stores. It’s so gorgeous in person and on sale now – the perfect black and white clutch for the season!
When the weather is gloomy, it’s hard to feel motivated throughout the week. That’s where the power of brights comes in! I find that throwing on a bright blouse, jacket, or accessory, can completely turn your day around. Hot pink and orange automatically make me think of Spring and Summer, and let’s face it, we all love those few months out of the year. Sunshine, patios, picnics, barbecues, and pool time — need I say more? Fortunately, Spring is just around the corner, but until then I’ll have to settle for bright layers!
Looking polished in the winter months can often pose a challenge, especially on those days when all you want is to stay in your pajamas with a cup of hot tea. I don’t know about you, but I go from hot to cold multiple times while at work and having layers that I can easily remove at my desk is crucial. Layering the turtleneck sweater, faux fur vest, and winter coat was perfect for the outdoor weather, yet simple enough to remove once inside (although it was so cold, I left the sweater and vest on all day)!
P.S. Loved getting to showcase my Tennessee spirit with this gorgeous pumpkin coat 😉
Blouse: Charming Charlie, loving these blouses (one, two, three), Pants: Banana Republic, similar pants here, Clutch: BCBGeneration via Dillard’s, Shoes: BCBGeneration, Sunglasses: Franco Sarto via T.J.Maxx
I wore this little number to work yesterday. The peter pan collar, cobalt pants, and multicolor clutch are quickly becoming favorites in my wardrobe. Not to mention, I just love outfits that are appropriate for a corporate setting, yet cute enough to wear for drinks afterwards. Be sure to stash a pair of black flats under your desk (especially if you are going to be on your feet all day)!

I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday with their family and friends. I took the last few days off from blogging to spend quality time with my family. We play a ton of board/card games around the holidays, and this year we received Cards Against Humanity for Christmas. It is hilarious!
I managed to get a few shots of my outfit that I wore to Mass on Christmas Eve. I absolutely love this dress from Banana Republic that I purchased last year. It’s perfect for holiday parties, but looks great with a blazer for work. The jacquard shift dress from the L’Wren Scott Collection at Banana Republic is very similar. I’m loving it in Emerald!

This hooded cardigan from Topshop is one of the coziest sweaters I own. I love to travel in it because it’s warm enough to wear as a coat, but much lighter. It’s so easy to toss in your bag if the weather suddenly changes. The past few outfits I’ve styled have had a pop of color, and I just couldn’t resist styling a bright red handbag with this neutral look.

A few days ago, my family and I went to our friends’ gorgeous farmhouse in Greeneville known as Blackberry Ridge Farm. I didn’t have much time to get ready, so I went with my go-to outfit in the winter (a chunky sweater, jeans, and boots). The pink hat really topped it off. It gave the look that pop of color and flare that it needed!
It was my first time visiting, and I fell completely in love with every last detail of their home. Beautiful architecture, amazing interior design, and fabulous styling. It was so inspirational! I hope to have a home that inspiring one day.
I love the pop of color that this oxblood fedora brings to my outfit. Adding a hat is such an easy way to make an otherwise ordinary look, a bit more polished and complete. When the weather gets a little cooler, a scarf or cardigan will spice this look up a bit! My little fur buddy in the top picture is my parents’ teacup poodle, Reggie, he wanted to get in on the action. He is the smallest of our four dogs, but definitely runs the house!
